From Go!Kid Claire: Hi Claire! Butter’s rich flavor, smooth consistency and ability to melt make this dairy product a favorite. Although the high amount of fat in butter has earned it a reputation as an unhealthy food, butter also provides valuable nutrients. Using a little butter isn’t unhealthy. But butter is an saturated fat, and generally, you should limit calories from saturated fat, espeically if you have diabetes or some other health problems. But I love to spread butter on toast, flavor vegetables and bake with it. But I don’t slather it on or use too much. From Go!Kid Joseph : Water IS good for you! During the Go!Kids Challenge you can use your wristband and get a free bottle of water when you visit participating Valero Corner Stores. But tap water is good for you too. If you live in a city, you generally get your water from a water supplier which is regulated by the EPA and it is safe to drink. They have to follow certain rules. The FDA regulates bottled water and they have to follow rules too so the water is safe to drink. Sometimes tap water tastes different from bottled water. I put some in a pitcher and keep it cold in the refrigerator and think it tastes better that way. But everyone is different.

From Go!Kid Shivi: Wow! I can always find something to do. If my friends are busy, I can still do things like ride my bike, shoot hoops or put together a dance routine. And then perform it for my family later. If I use my imagination, I’m usually not without something to do for long. Here are some ideas ff you’re bored: place a trash can at different distances and then see how many times you can get a ball in it. Or put together an obstacle course. If you have chalk, you can play hop scotch on the sidewalk or in your driveway. Have fun! From Go!Kid Claire : Hi Claire! Do you mean brown rice? Brown rice hasn’t had the brown-colored bran covering removed, so it’s considered a whole grain. Brown rice has more fiber than white rice, and also has lots of nutrients. It takes longer to cook, but I love the taste.

From Go!Kid Austin: Glad you asked! About 60% of your body is made up of water. So the best replacement for water is water. Plus water has zero calories. Sodas have a lot of sugar in them, and diet sodas have artifical sweetners that may not be good for you. Sodas can also have caffeine. If you drink sodas, try to replace one soda a day for a bottle of water until sodas are a once-in-awhile drink. Sodas are okay for an occassional treat, but the best drink for your body is water.
